Partner

Mark S. LeVan is a founding partner of LeVan, Sprader, Patton & Plymire. Mr. LeVan was born in Jackson, Mississippi, but has resided in Nashville, Tennessee since the early 1960’s. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 1983, and graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law with Honors in 1986.

He is admitted to practice in Tennessee State Courts and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tennessee. His practice areas include Insurance Defense Litigation and Products Liability Defense.

Paul L. Sprader is a founding partner of LeVan, Sprader, Patton & Plymire. Mr. Sprader is from Huntsville, Alabama. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in 1986, and graduated from The University of Notre Dame with his Juris Doctorate in 1990.

Mr. Patton obtained his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in 1986, where he was a member of the Vanderbilt Baseball Team. He graduated from the University of Memphis School of Law in 1992.

Cynthia D. Plymire

Cynthia D. Plymire

Cynthia D. Plymire, born Kansas City, Kansas, April 22, 1966; admitted to the bar 1994, Tennessee; United States District Court, Middle District of Tennessee, 1996. Ms. Plymire attended Middle Tennessee State University where she was the recipient of the Leadership Performance Scholarship for Academic Performance and an ACT/Service Merchandise Scholarship.  She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1988. While working as a claims adjuster, Ms. Plymire attended law school at night at the Nashville School of Law from 1990 to 1994, obtaining her law degree in 1994.

Prior experience: Safeco Insurance Company Adjuster; CNA Insurance Company Legal Liability Specialist; Ortale, Kelly, Herbert & Crawford Associate then Partner, 1995 to 2011.  

Practice areas are Civil Litigation including insurance, auto and other; Uninsured Motorist Defense; Premises Liability; Commercial Litigation; Large Loss Subrogation Recovery Litigation; and some Personal Injury.  Ms. Plymire has handled thousands of cases to their conclusion during her 24 years of practice.
